橙原產於亞洲,本來是柚子與橘子的雜交品種,後來傳至伊比利亞半島,再進入歐洲。橙呈球狀,外表凹凸不平,味道酸甜多汁。橙的食法眾多,除了生吃外,可榨成汁飲用,它的果肉也可以製作甜品,如蛋糕、果凍等。同時,也可利用果汁烹調菜餚,如香橙牛扒、橙酒蝦球等風味菜式。

The transliteration of "蘋果" was first seen in a fruit encyclopedia during the Ming Dynasty.Influenced by the Chinese culture, “apple” in Japanese is “Ringo”. But actually “Ringo” was just a Han Dynasty fruit which was similar to apple. It was mostly used as an aroma in the past.In ancient Greece, apples were regarded as the sacred object of Venus. People send apple to show their love. If you accept the apple, it means a “yes”. 船到橋頭⾃然直,煮到嚟就識,今次嘅主角係~⽜油果! ⽜油果係一種生長喺熱帶地區嘅果實,同牛油冇任何關係。考古學家發現牛油果早喺8000 至15,000年前已經出現喺秘魯。 ⽜油果英文係「Avocado」,呢個字嚟⾃西班牙文嘅「Aguacate」,「a-gu-a-ca-te」,相 信⼤家都學識咗呢個字。 ⽜油果除咗可以⽣食,仲有好多唔同食法,其中⼀種最出名嘅就係加州卷。早喺70年年代,⼀位喺北美洲打工嘅壽司師傅將⽜油果加入壽司,發覺出奇地夾,後來傳遍美加各地,仲紅到返去壽司鄉下 - ⽇本! ⽽家喺日本,亦有人會將⽜油果切⽚點豉油食。 好各位同學,牛油果嘅西班牙文係咩呀?

Avocado grows in the tropical regions. Archaeologists discovered that avocados haveappeared in Peru as early as 8,000 to 15,000 years ago.The Chinese name of Avocado is “butter fruit” but it has nothing to do with butter. Avocado was originally translated from Spanish “aguacate”. Let’s read after me “a-gu-a-ca-te”. There are many ways to eat avocado. It can be added to different dishes. One of the famous cuisines is the California roll. In the 70s, a sushi chef in North America first added avocado to the sushi and found that they matched perfectly. 洋薊,又名朝鮮薊、雅枝竹,原產於歐洲地中海沿岸,羅馬人早在二千年前已經開始食用,而在19世紀洋薊正式從法國傳入中國。洋薊表面被一層層紫綠色的苞片的覆蓋,花蕾可用於烹飪,葉與根莖則可製藥,洋薊是美味的菜餚,可作火鍋材料,也可作沙律或開胃菜,配上肉片、橄欖油、蒜頭等清炒,味道鮮嫩,同時亦可配上肉類燉湯。此外,洋薊的花瓣還可製成菜薊茶。

梨,原產於歐洲、亞洲及非洲,主要集中在地中海,中亞及中國等地。形狀呈圓形,亦有上窄下闊,即俗稱的「梨形」;梨有很多不同品種,例如沙梨、白梨、日本梨、啤梨等,不同品種的顏色也會不同。梨既可生食,也可入饌,味道甜中帶酸,梨子的菜式甚多,大多為湯水或飲品,例如蘋果雪梨雪耳豬?湯、蘋果雪梨紅棗茶,亦可製成冰糖燉雪梨、啤梨批等甜品。

蘆薈,原產於地中海及非洲等地,葉呈綠色,大而肥厚,葉尾成尖針型,葉邊緣呈鋸齒狀。蘆薈功能甚多,廣受大眾歡迎,它除了製成軟膏、凝膠等供外用,亦可食用。蘆薈可以生吃,可以煮成不同的佳餚,如蘋果蘆薈湯、蘆薈拌涼瓜等健康菜式。它也是調製飲品的良品,蘆薈粒爽口彈牙,不時出現在水果茶或果汁當中。
